The Topdocs estate planning process fundamentally follows these key steps:

  • You complete a Client Fact Find (Download our Client Fact Find ) and send it to Topdocs for review by a lawyer from Topdocs Legal.

  • A lawyer from Topdocs legal contacts you to discuss the options suitable for you and the costs in the matter.

  • If you are happy to proceed with the matter, an initial meeting is organised (in person at our office or by Skype) between the lawyer and yourself to further discuss your requirements and the structure of the documentation required.

  • Following the initial meeting, the lawyer prepares drafts of the relevant documents such as Wills, powers of attorney and any business succession agreements, and forwards them to you for your review and approval.

  • If required, a further discussion with you (by telephone or Skype) is arranged following your review of the draft documents to discuss any necessary amendments.

  • Once the documents are approved, Topdocs Legal arranges a further meeting with you at our office if you are locally based for execution of the documentation. Alternatively, if required, the execution copies of the documents are sent to you with step-by-step instructions regarding witnessing and execution of the documents.
